How This Works
Our Mission
We help readers see how the same event is covered across the media spectrum—clearly, calmly, and with evidence—so you can make up your own mind.
What We Analyze
- Current events from a rotating set of mainstream, regional, and specialty outlets.
- We prioritize original reporting and on-the-record sources over commentary.
- Every item links back to the source article for verification.
High-Level Workflow (Simple)
- Collect: We gather candidate articles from vetted feeds and editorial picks.
- Normalize: Headlines, timestamps, and bylines are standardized to a common format.
- Compare: We align articles that describe the same event across outlets.
- Extract: Key claims and facts are pulled from each version of the story.
- Contrast: We highlight differences in what’s emphasized, omitted, or framed.
- Review: Human editors confirm matches, check context, and finalize the summary.
We intentionally keep the exact rules, thresholds, and weightings private to protect the integrity of the system.
Our Safeguards Against Bias
- Symmetric rules: The same criteria apply to all outlets—left, right, and center.
- Source diversity: Multiple outlets per event; no single source can dominate a day’s feed.
- Blind review steps: Editors see claims before outlet names at key checkpoints.
- Audit trails: Every change to an item leaves a timestamped note internally.
- Rotation & freshness: We regularly rotate sources and re-score as facts evolve.
What We Show (and Why)
- Side-by-side context: The point isn’t to “pick winners,” it’s to show differences.
- Receipts: Links to the original reporting so you can read the full text yourself.
- Plain-language summaries: Short, neutral descriptions of the event and coverage.
- Disclosures: If a story involves our partners or past sponsors, we say so.
What We Don’t Do
- No pay-for-placement.
- No sponsored “news” disguised as analysis.
- No scraping behind paywalls.
- No selling of your personal reading history.
Corrections & Updates
If we miss something important, we correct it. Email corrections@feedigital.com with the article link, specific claim, and a source that supports your note. Material updates appear on the item with a timestamp.
Versioning & Timing
- Each analysis carries a version stamp (e.g., “v2025.09.29”) and publish time.
- If facts change, we may re-review and update the comparison.
Editorial Independence
Our editors operate behind an independence firewall. Business relationships do not influence selection, pairing, or phrasing of analyses.
Privacy Basics
We use privacy-respecting analytics for aggregate trends (e.g., which topics resonate). We don’t sell personal data. See our Privacy Policy.
Funding
We’re funded by reader subscriptions and support. Any sponsorships are labeled and do not affect coverage decisions.
How to Read Our Pages (Quick Tips)
- Look for what’s new, what’s missing, and what’s framed differently.
- Follow the source links to decide for yourself.
- Use the Archive for historical patterns and shifts in coverage.

Why we don’t publish the full algorithm: disclosing every threshold would make the system trivially gameable and encourage clones that mimic the appearance of neutrality without the controls. Instead, we publish the principles, process, and accountability—and let the work be judged in the open.
